Wine Making
From the vineyard to the shelf, we produce Georgia's finest wines.
Habersham's committment to quality begins with careful monitoring of
both the grapes in our vineyard as well as those we purchase. Attention
to detail continues through the crushing, fermentation and ageing
process. Our winemaker, UC Davis and Califorinia trained, personally
sees to each detail of every process.

01 Wine Preparation
Our award winning premium wines are aged up to 2 years at 56 degrees
under closely monitored proper humidity in French and American oak
barrels. All of our wines receive the utmost attention at bottling and
are stored in our temperature controlled warehouse.

02 Filling the Bottle
Each bottle is slightly overfilled by gravity flow. This excess will be
removed prior to corking and returned to the bottling tank.

03 Bottle Corking
Prior to the insertion of the cork a leveling device removes the
"overfill", assuring that every bottle has an equal volume. A split
second before corking, a vacuum is pulled on the bottle headspace
removing any oxygen and assuring a quality seal.

04 Bottle Capsules
Neck capsules are placed on the bottle. A heat shrink tunnel is lowered
onto the bottle and the capsule shrinks to conform to the bottle neck.

warehouse.
